Biography of Pascale Moutte-Baur, illustrator of the children's picture book "Duck Is Stuck" published by Clavis Publishing, New York.
Pascale Moutte-Baur was born in 1969 in Marseille. She loves to travel. After ten years in Germany, she now lives in Brussels, but the French Provence will always have a special place in her heart. As a child, she spent hours looking at illustrations in children magazines and admiring beautiful picture books. You rarely saw her without a pencil in her hand.
Graduated with the title of Master in French as a foreign language, Pascale was a teacher to adults in Germany and Belgium. Meanwhile, she kept on painting, but only her students and children saw her work.
A few years later Pascale graduated as an illustrator at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. Her graphic work is very diverse and often broaches the subject of living together.
Her marriage to a German husband living in Belgium, her bilingual children, the memory of her colorful native town Marseille or her time with refugees in Brussels inspire her to talk about diversity without hiding the difficulties. The first book she published - selected during the Key Colours competition - is about mixed families.
Pascale also organizes creative workshops for adults.
